During September 2024 I am taking part in another 26mile hike alongthe Northumberland coast in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Please consider visiting my Just Giving page to donate to this valuable charity. Thank you.
We always advise clients to regularly review their existing security to check whether gates and doors are still able maintain a robust defence against intrusion. A newer installation will also have a greater deterrent effect to put off any potential attack - an ideal solution. If you have old or badly maintained doors and gates we would be pleased to visit and advise you of the latest upgrade as we have with the below installations.
Well done to Managing Director Paul Young on his 26.5 mile Mighty Hike for Macmillan Cancer, pictured with walking buddy Julia Cooper. Between them they have raised over £1500.00 for Macmillan Cancer.
We are pleased to have completed a project involving installation of steel doors specifically designed to allow a hoist beam to remain operable.
The top opening over-panel and the centre transom is also removable to allow for full height clearance, ensuring heavy loads can be craned in to the store and then remain safe and secure.
Alliance Security Installations Ltd are keen to help out in our local community and are proud to be the main kit sponsor for Broadway Celtic FC U18’s who are based in Chadderton, Oldham. The team are currently playing in the Tameside Saturday U18 League and are managed by our very own Paul Young. ’They are a great bunch of lads, with the current players having been together for a number of years so when the previous Manager said he was hanging up his boots it seemed a shame not to carry it on, especially as all the players expressed their desire to continue...it’s a competitive league and with training two nights a week, league and club meetings to attend it takes up a lot of time but its thoroughly enjoyable’.
Wide shop fronts are not a problem for our retail security grilles. We recently installed two sets over 6 metres wide and coloured to blend in with renovated shop fronts at Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. The landlord was so pleased with the finished product he is looking to do the same with other premises and the new tenants are pleased with the the ease of use and appearance and keen to move into premises that have the added security provided by the grilles but still allow 'window shopping' when closed.
Watching TV one evening Alliance MD, Paul Young, thought he noticed something familiar during a commercial break. Rewinding he was surprised to see that a set of decorative security gates installed on a client's shop front premises were shown on a ‘Bensons for Beds’ advert.
Our client, The White Closet, featured heavily in the commercial as a bride-to-be is seen trying on a wedding dress. The next frame moves to the outside of the shop where the decorative gates can clearly be seen. The commercial then moved the main character into a Bensons for Bed shop where they are seen trying out different beds.
As part of the contract we installed other security products not visible on the commercial, including concertina grilles to the windows either side of the doors.
Having recently secured a number of Steel Door contracts with a major north west based Construction Company, Paul Young and Dan Byrne recently completed the BESC Persons (Sub Station) training course which will allow for safe working on National Grid Sub Stations. The Basic Electrical Safety Competence course includes a computer based training session in the classroom followed by a practical assessment at a substation.
The ‘Persons’ course is the standard entry level certificate required by National Grid to enter onto a substation and covers areas such as the access into, movement around and egress on a live substation site as well as health and safety, safe working areas, method statements, risk assessments, PPE and understanding the Grid’s warning and hazard signage. Alliance Security Installations Ltd has now completed its first installation of steel doors at a site in Burnley and is now preparing for the next site.
Alliance Security Installations Ltd are determined to make sure that staff are working to help keep themselves, and others, safe whilst working. We pride ourselves in our commitment to perform our working duties in a safe and secure manner and to demonstrate to our clients that we take Health & Safety very seriously. All staff hold CSCS cards, which is now mandatory for working in the Construction Industry and we are all CRB checked which is now becoming a standard entry level for working in Schools and Council premises.
We are pleased to announce that a number of our staff have recently completed a range of safety training:
